Electric Twist by A Fine Frenzy.
2 things i love about this video,(besides the song that obviously, it’s very catchy):
There are some songs we never get tired of listening.
There are some groups we never get tired of listening. Specially when they sing that song we love, inspired by a superpowerful… inspiration.
From The Killers, live on Letterman: A Dustland Fairytale.
Old presentation doesnt mean that is not good anymore, it’s more like wine, it gets better with time.
Among this already ended F/W 10.11 Fashion Week, something about male models caught my eye, no it weren’t Baptiste Giabiconi or Marlon Texeira or even Jesus Luz the ones that caught my eye, but the ones with long hair, some of them with hair even longer than mine. This model look was more seen during the Marc by Marc Jacobs show, where 4 male models took all the protagonism of the show for the long hair.
Why do I like them so much? I’m still trying to figure that out, but i have some theories.
- Maybe because they’re taking a risk, long hair doesnt always look good in every men, as well as it does short hair with women.
- Maybe because they’re uncommon. (Well, out of 18, 4 have long hair, that is a 22% of the whole show, of every 10 guys, 2 have long hair, ok… that’s probably more common than i expected)
- Or… simply because they look good with it, and because they have strong features to acomplish that long “femenine” hair.

Did i mention before that i didnt like Chanel’s last collection? it’s true.
But is not like i thought i was horrible, is that i’ve always liked all Chanel’s collections, so i was expecting something great, when i got something, not so great, so it was kind of a dissapointment.
Still there are some pieces that i really liked, and another thing that i like about Chanel: their details videos. When i dont like an outfit, the details make me like it, so now i’ve reconcider these collection and actually i dont longer concider it as a dissapointment, it could’ve been better, but it wasnt that bad at all…
Still i’m not licking the excess of fur, but at least is a fake fear. So PETA must be happy (:

When we think of Model Street Style, we think in Black, most of the time they dress in black clothes.
That’s why Iekeliene Stange and Hanne Gaby Odiele are one of the most risk models in terms of dressing, because they actually dress with colours.
Unfortunately we saw nothing form Iekeliene last month, because she skipped this last season. Still, we’re counting with Hanne.
Here are some pictures of Hanne’s street style during Milan and Paris Fashion Week F/W 2010.

I had a complete week to review all the important fashion shows that concerned me during this already ended Fashion Month (includes 4 cities) from which we are excluding London in this review for the simple fact i didnt had time to review much those collections.
After an (in my opinion) awful last collection, the return to classic, was indeed something brilliant, watching this show, see every single piece of clothes is like watching a fashion show from the 90s the vintage essence was perfect for Marc to blow away the audience, at least me. Some people could think of boring, but i think it’s classic, and i like it.
A brand that in my taste, never fails, it has this personal print (metaphorically speaking) in every single outfit that when you see it you think CK, it’s indeed very classic, maybe not a lot of inovation, but if i already concider Marc Jacobs a good collection the this is absolutely a very good collection.
Gucci has his own stamp, Frida Giannini knows what people like, so thats what she gives us every season, maybe nothing changes, the similar scheme always appears. But as long as there people like it (me) then i guess i’ll be pretty good.
Behind the greatness of Dolce & Gabbana is D&G, maybe not as fantastic as the first one, this being a bit more casual, a more day to day than an special event outfit from. Maybe because people do care more in the first one that the other doesnt get what deserves, because if i could i would put both of them in this… but i cant believe my crazyness for blazers isnt enough. To begin with D&G and her inspiration on a snow park, or maybe even christmas, the sweters with prints of raindeers, snowflakes, reminded me of how much i love skiing, think that unfortunately i suck in it. Everything was good here, even the songs played during the show where good (Muse), the used of fur was in a good way and not too much of it. A++
Mr. Elbaz is a genius, and in case someone forgets it, he keeps remind us every single season with an expectacular collection and this season was not going to stay behind, the strong feeling of the outfits filled up with this strong walk, make up, and catwalk of every single model its an overflow of greatness. When you think of black, when you think of elegance, when you think of modern, you think in Lanvin.
I’ve already talked wonderfullness of this collection, so i would love to see it all in the post HERE.
If Paris is all about love, and all this classic romance, while most of their shows are a dare to fashion and to success (which most of the end in success), i think in moments like that is when classic, solid style, appears. What makes people feel bored about this collection is what makes me love it, its his consistence, his substance: very Chloé, someone would say, very old, very vintage, very classic; i would say: Very Paris.
Lee will be missed, see complete post about it HERE.
